Milla Jovovich has recently revealed some interesting and ship-sinking news for Resident Evil: Retribution. A subplot concerning the capture of Chris and Claire Redfield, along with K-Mart by Umbrella, has seemingly narrowed down the character and casting roster of the fifthquel (giving newbies, Luther, Leon, Ada and Barry, room to breathe). I.E., Wentworth Miller, Spencer Locke and Ali Larter will not be in the film (which gives me the impression that Alice won't be rescuing them anytime soon in the film) to reprise their respective roles.

Whether or not this means they chose not to reprise their roles or were simply removed to avoid the problems that major sequels suffer as a result one-too-many-characters is a bit of an unknown at the moment. Nevertheless, this Alice/Chris shipper is a sad puppy (but there is a shining hope for the implied Alice/Luther).
